Maby we (I) should consider setting up a polling site where we can vote for the different logoes presented as of now, since the logo contest has been going on for a long time now. I see the thread started in March this year, making it over 1/2 a year ago. I would think alot of people would like the fact that there are official logoes to present together with the use of Xinha as a WYSIWYG editor in their system.

However, I would like to say that there should be some rules for the logo if we should considered it as a contender. And again - please come with your opinions on this since I often babble away,

1. Whatever the colors of the logo is, the logo should have a variation in 1 color.
2. The logo should be available in EPS, so that its scalable. People like me create printed materials of our CMS, and using a weblogo in print isn't usually a good idea. This would mean that the original logo artist should be available to deliver the logo as EPS, or another person should be available to trace the logo and deliver it in EPS.
3. The logo should work standing and lying, this can also be done with variations.

Metting the above requirements gives the logo the edge it would need to be used in different medias, making it a powerful tool in branding Xinha. Probably there are alot of persons already involved in the usage of Xinga that could trace the winning logo, worst case scenario is getting another professional graphics designer to do the job, hopefully at nice price,

Alot of goof contributions, and alot of activity past weeks also. But as mentioned, I feel we maby should start thinking of closing this thread and deside on one of the logoes.

Finally I managed to get me a free hour for this...

I like the idea to get some html-feeling into the logo, I hope you will see that ;-).
And by the way, the colors should go well with the Xinha-Website.
Perhaps there is another free moment to fine-tune it...

Based on an original idea by adamp (although I came up with the idea before seeing his (honestly!)).

I think the project needs a logo that tells people what area the project is in, and the >< are recognizable to ay web user.

It seems like this logo hunt has kind of stalled, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway.

I think Tyco and Riftdesign have the best logo here. It's bold and flexible and easily recognizable. In my opinion, though, some work needs to be done on the xinha text. Both of their "xinha" leave something to be desired.

Using their designs, I tried out a different feel to the "xinha" part, while trying to maintain legibility for low resolution uses:

Ouch, looks like I need to speed up this things here, been to busy watching politics lately, man we are living in interesting times.

HOWEVER - The Xinha logo shouldnt suffer and either should all the poeple who have spent costly time in preparing a logo.

I will create the polling system with the submittet canditates in the comming days and start the poll, so that we can decide which logo will be the winning Xinha logo!
