Editor is really slow in Chrome and Firefox

I implemented the "newbie guide" editor. In IE it loads almost instant, but in Chrome and Firefox it take about 17 seconds before its is usable. When I remove the plugins it still takes 12 second. Any idea how i can speed it up?

Do you have your caching disabled perhaps? 

Observe the network activity (using Firebug and the Chrome Developer panel (CTRL-SHIFT-J)) and see what's happening.

It a dev envirement on .NET internal server, didnt do any cache settings yet. Will try that out, is there a way to speed up the initial load?

I installed IIS7 and running my local site on that server, now its fast
