Hi guys
I'm having a vexing issue with Xinha 0.96beta2.
In my local dev environment, Xinha works just fine. Uploading to my server breaks it. No Xinha, when online on my server, ever finishes loading... no matter how long I wait (I've tried 30 minutes and more, no luck).
The problem is universal across FireFox 3.5, IE6, IE7, IE8, Opera, and Chrome. If these browers view the site locally, Xinha works 100%. The moment I put it online, Xinha in all of them fails. All the OTHER javascript and code in the site works 100% fine when online - EXCEPT for Xinha.
I can view the Xinha demos no problem, and they work 100%.
I've checked and rechecked and checked again and again that the online code and my dev environment's code -are- binary-level equivalents - exactly the same. I'v have even deleted the entire site, bzipped it, uploaded, and unbzipped, and the problem stays exactly the same - Xinha never finishes loading, but ONLY when online on my server.
To see my problem:
1. URL: http://polard.com/generic/cms/cms.php?location=online
2. Username: test
Password: test
3. Click on "Announcements"
4. Click on "Add Announcements"
On this page in the bottom text area, Xinha never finishes loading. There are also no Javascript errors reported in any of the browsers, Xinha just stops at the "Loading Plugins" DIV and never actually appears - while locally it works perfectly. 100% the same code online and offline.
No errors of any kind are reported.
Anybody got ANY idea where I can start looking?
Thanks!
EDIT: I've established that a minimum Xinha config also fails - please see http://polard.com/generic/cms/test.html
EDIT: I've firebugged around and established that at the URL above in my case Xinha seems to go into an infinite loop on this line:
if(Xinha.loadPlugins(_ef,_f0)){
on line 1724 of XinhaCore.js
I. e. the plugins never load... I tried specifying NO plugins at all, but still the infinite loop.
I've also tried not using xinhaloader.js, no luck.

Hi!
Thank your very much for replying... that is VERY strange...
Have you got any idea why it might not work for me, or anybody in my office? As I said it works fine in my local dev environment, but when I put it online...
But I really appreciated that you took a look at it! Thank you for your time.
Regards,
Stefan

Hmm... this seems to be solved if I use a the nightly build that is / was available at 2009-09-18.
Still strange though...
