Parameter passing

Hi
Been using the editor very well for a couple of years now. Have modified ImageManager to handle multiple subdomain entry points. Now need to pass information from the calling page to improve security ie forcing the directory structure to two structures one shared and one private (the parameter needed). I am sure that I read something somewhere but cannot find it again.
