General question: Image uploader

Hey guys. Does anyone know of a freeware /os equivalent of the Flickr image uploader? I have clients who'd like to simultaneously upload multiple images to my CMS. It would also be pretty cool if the software resized the images at the same time! Am I asking to much?!!

I would love to see these two combined into a single replacement for ImageManager/ExtendedFileManager, I've mentioned it in a couple of tickets recently if you search them out.
