copy from word 2007 & FF

Dear forum members,
first off , Hey there , im Jeff.

Our company has been using Xinha for development purposes for some time now , I am not quite sure which version wer'e running but it's working.

Im experiencing some problems with copying from word 2007 documents in FF to xinha. all other browsers work (though not fully displaying html ) and older word version work on all browsers (including FF) as well.
For some reason word 2007 in FF , after posing the message and displaying it(upon pasting the editor displayed fine) the text on some page I get a lot of stuff that looks like broken CSS & HTML .

Has anyone experienced such a problem ? Does a solution exist , we really must support 2007 on FF as well as other browsers.

Please help , Thanks in advance , Jeff

Re: copy from word 2007 & FF

Hi Jeff,

Have you tried using the version of Xinha in trunk? I know that a number of Word issues have been fixed since the last official release. According to this page, pasting into Firefox from Word 2007 should be working now: http://www.openplans.org/projects/xinha/wordclean

If you'd prefer not to use the nightly version, there will most likely be a beta release of Xinha 0.96 in the next week or two.

Hope this helps,
  -Nick

Re: copy from word 2007 & FF

If I understand correctly, the text is cleaned up only if the icon W is pressed (superClean leaves no text at all, tested on the supplied word file and nightly build),  but can this be done automatically on text paste or on form submission?

Thanks in advance,
d.
