When I navigate to any page that uses htmlArea, I get popups with these two error messages :
"ERROR [createSelect]:
Can't find the requested dropdown definition
FIXME: Unknown toolbar item: true"
This set of error messages comes up twice as htmlArea loads. After I close all the error popups, the editor is partially usable but has several buttons (that are enabled in the toolbar setting) greyed out. All the Xinha plugins are enabled.
Also when I try to upload an image I get:
"Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /var/www/vhosts/toucanmultimedia.com/httpdocs/cms/modules/htmlarea/xinha/plugins/ImageManager/Classes/Files.php
Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/toucanmultimedia.com/httpdocs/cms/modules/htmlarea/xinha/plugins/ImageManager/Classes/Files.php on line 83"
I made all the folders from ImageManager on down, writeable, but it didn't help.
I would have submitted this as a ticket but apparently I don't have permission to do so. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like a problem in your config. Enabling "all" Xinha plugins sounds like a pretty bad idea to me.
As for your permissions problem, sounds like you are not defining the appropriate path configurations for ImageManager - http://trac.xinha.org/wiki/ImageManager
Start with a basic config as in the NewbieGuide ( http://trac.xinha.org/wiki/NewbieGuide ) and work from there, you must walk before you try and run.
