Dtds

Hello,

we would like Xinha to output HTML 4.01 instead of XHTML, is there a feature to switch DTDs or where should we start to alter the code accordingly?

Thx
Hassan

Re: Dtds

If I remember right it will take on whatever your page is, same as the charset....someone else such as ray will know for sure though

Re: Dtds

Well, at the moment there's no way to control that, though it would be no very hard task to have e.g. a config variable for that. But IMHO there is no need for action in that field, as  HTML (every version)  is absolutely valid with this kind of markup (according to validator.w3.org)

Re: Dtds

There are no wrong characters, only wrong encoding, see http://xinha.python-hosting.com/wiki/Pl … mlEntities

Re: Dtds

There are some non-SGML characters that word puts into documents that aren't found in UTF-8.... so for a lot of people pasting from Microsoft Word into Xinha will give them content that won't validate
