strange problem with Xinha._postback

Hi all

I'm writing to an external file using Xinha._postback function. Ok, the file is modified. After that, my PHP script die printing an message, that is passed to my handler function that shows it to user. In Mozilla all is ok, but in IE, the message was not displayed. But why?  The PHP was executed, so it prints the message... simply the handler function was not called! why??? 
Then, after lots of frustrated tentatives, I copy the Xinha._postback function to my file, overwriting it with itself. Ok! worked well. Then I created my own ajax function and it works... but Xinha._postback should work from where it is! 
 
Somebody seen that too? or understand why it happens?
