Anyone got any ideas how to use the Extended File Manager (EFM) independently of Xinha?
The original image manager developed way back when could be used independently and integrated with htmlarea.
What I mean by independent is using a file browsing form field to launch the EFM and then return a path to the file you want back into that single form field.
Anybody know how to do this?

Hi!
ray has adjusted the EFM code to be 'standalone' version here - it's not working like you suggested, but it should be very easy to adjust it to your needs (compare original EFM code from Xinha with the standalone version to understand the changes made by ray).

Basically I have created a subset of HTMLArea with only the functions like _lc() etc. that were used, and stripped all stuff that was related to click a file and return a path.
This was only a proof of concept though, I'd like to mention

I've tried to figure this out, but can't get it to work.
Any smart people out there want to get this to work and set up a demo page at a place where everyone can see?

Awesome! Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for. I've downloaded and am going to try it out right now. What a great early Christmas present. Thanks, Ray.
