Link color when WYSIWYG is active VS Link color when focus is elsewher

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I set the link color [a] by setting the pageStyle config property in the custom javascript for my page.  The problem I'm having is that when I am editing in a WYSIWYG, the links show standard blue and they don't change to the color I set (gold) until I click somewhere else and the page focus is elsewhere.  Is this a bug, or is there something else I need to change so that the color is what I want when the WYSIWYG is active and in focus.  Please help... all suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

This is a browser feature, I do not believe we can alter it.

Ahhh, ok... Just wanted to get some kind of idea what was going on.  Thanks for the response, if I stumble across any solutions I'll be sure to let you know!
