First Line in Textarea

In Netscape and Firefox i have after the start of xinha in a empty textarea a Space and a carriage returen linefeed. No HTML is in the textarea.
After a save of this "empty" textarea i store this in my database.

This problem i don't have with the IE. A empty textarea is empty. What can i do?

Test it with firefox, switch to html and you see a empty line and then <p>.
Test it in IE and you don't see the empty line.

It's the way Gecko does it. Just clean it up server side.

Is this a gecko bug or the right function?

Is there any way to clean it up in xinha? This is a different result between xinha ie and firefox. On server side i only have standard textarea handling and no differences for ie and firefox. I don't like it to clean it on every textarea on my site. It is Postnuke and there are a many textarea's.

I hope you have a sunny christmas in New Zealand this year. Last year it was very cold ;-) We have visit your country for three weeks and it is beautiful. Best Regards from Germany.

My feeling is that it is a gecko bug, or actualy it could be a side-effect of EnterParagraphs plugin (usually loaded automatically in Xinha when running on Gecko).

If you submit a bug report about this, I will look more closely and see about cleaning it up client-side.
