This took me a while to figure out why in god's good name it wasn't working properly. It would get to the point just before it activated the iframes (occassionally just after it activated the iframes and before it set the content) then freeze up as solid as ice.
Just to be cheaky I checked it out on another computer running firefox and it ran just fine. The only difference was that version of firefox didn't have any added extensions.
So I disabled my extensions in the offending browser and things worked just fine. After that I began enabling the extensions one by one and it turns out that the 'Tidy' HTML Validator extension is what was causing the problem.
So, moral of the story, if you are having any problems with xinha in firefox....disable your extensions and check that first.
