Since the InteractiveTools-Forum is shut down i don't know the status if the EFM

didn't get a reply from info@afrusoft.com

and nothing new on http://www.afrusoft.com/htmlarea/

...and i'm really intereded in this great plugin!

(i really do not understand why IT closed their forum... now some plugins won't be continued perhaps...)

I've never used the one you're referring to, but there's a file manager here: http://alrashid.klokan.sk/insFile/htmlareademo/ that does the trick for me. Hope this helps.

thanks your your reply, but you don't know the EFM!

- lets you insert images AND files (as simple links)
- thumbnail and list-view
- rename/move/copy files/folders
- limitates the avaliable disk-space
...and much more i don't remember

the main thing is that this is insert-file and insert-image in one!

Can I get those files too please? That sounds a whole lot better than what I'm using!

Speaking of which... James: is there any way we could start to compile a repository of contributed code hosted here? Even something as simple as a shared download directory would be a great way for the community members to help each other out. Just my .02

Good news, I got a mail from Afru:

Thanks for mailing, I have almost completed it, I have removed
lots of bugs. But now, I am too busy with other projects and was
unable to allot time for efm. Please understand me. I have very busy
shedule, Even I dont have time to update my own site afrusoft.com and
it is still under maintenance. Anyhow, I am sure I will release EFM
soon. You can expect it by the end of this month. By that time,
htmlarea forums will also be ready. Meanwhile please adjust with the
beta release. I will mail you once it is released. Thank you for
information about xinha. Keep in touch...

Great news, at least htmlarea.com's forums going offline haven't put him off. Hopefully he'll make an appearance here with his plugin when he's ready

Looks like a great tool. Can't wait for the full version to come out

In the meantime, I would really appreciate it if someone could email me (cunningblade @ hotmail.com) the February beta version as I am putting together a proof of concept for some people.

Can anyone post this plugin publicly for the rest of us? Seems to be enough interest. Id like to test it out to decide if we should switch to xinha or htmlarea.

The needs I have are:
- allow users to upload with maximum total mb used
- set a maximum width, having the system resize the image to that maximum width and insert the thumbnailed version while creating a link to the original larger size

Id also like to know if anyone else prefers the text color and other popups to be js popups not new windows like:
