ExtendedFileManager Permission Error

Hi All,

I have recently installed Xinha, and I am using the ExtendedFileManager plugin. I just went to upload a word document, and it wouldnt let me. It said "Cannot upload doc files. Permission denied"

Is there a setting that allows or disallows file extensions? I have checked the folder I was trying to upload into and the permissions on that are 777, so not sure why this might be...

Thanks

Patrick

Re: ExtendedFileManager Permission Error

You can define the extensions that are allowed to upload, see http://xinha.python-hosting.com/wiki/Pl … ileManager

P.S. I have just added doc to the allowed extensions (rev 717)

Re: ExtendedFileManager Permission Error

Hi again, as for the above issue, I amended the actual config file so that it included a few other file types that my client would be using such as odt, ods, ppt, dot and xlt.

I do have another query though, which is regarding the ImageManager, but I am getting the impression that it uses the Extended File Manager anyway. Basically, I am trying to upload a photo which is only 383.99Kb, so falls within the max filesize limits, but is 1760px wide and 1168 px high. If I upload the photo at 1024, there is no issue, but at the full size there is... The file uploads, and confirms the success through the alert. However, there is no thumbnail view of it.

If I edit it, the image appears, so it has obviously uploaded fine, but when I scale it using the built in image editor, it exceeds allocated memory. Is there a way that I can amend this, as my client will be uploading photos straight from their camera, onto the site, and does not have an external application for image manipulation...

Thanks

Patrick
