SpellChecker questions

I cannot get the Learn button to save anything to the personal_dicts directory even though it is writeable.
I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that the directory resides under an authenicated directory or if there is anything else I should look at.

Also, what is the format of these file supposed to be. I may not end up granting access to learn words to every user but I'd still like to create a dictionary of words/acronyms that are standard for us so they do not get flagged as misspelled all the time.
