Need help on dynamic css

Hi there,
I am using a xinha editor with Expression Engine. I like its imagemanager plugin a lot. Its really very helpful for a nontechnical user to upload images with the use of plugin.
I am using a dynamic css feature. When I select a particular text in paragraph and apply a class, it gets applied to the whole <p> tag e.g.
<p class=”class1”>This is my dummy text</p>
I want to apply class2 only for dummy word. Means it should look like <p class=”class1”>This is my <font class=”class2”>dummy</font> text</p>.
Can anyone help on this?
