Xinha and Text Control - it's installed but Xinha doesn't know it?

I have Text Control and Xinha installed and activated in Wordpress.  The Xinha options page still says Text Control is not installed even though it is, and most formatting is being stripped out of any pages and posts.  Is there a way to force Xinha to recognize Text Control?
