pre-position cursor in the editor elsewhere than the beginning)

Is there a way to position the cursor in a specific place in the editor on initialization, instead of at the very beginning of the editor ("0" position).
For example could I place a fixed text that appears each time the editor initializes and then make the cursor stand after or under that text.
I have tried in several ways to insert prefixed text, but always the cursor appears before anything else that I insert.

i need the cursor to start at the end of the text instead of the beggining.

HELP! anyone?
