all buttons stay gray

Hi this is my first and hopefully last post :-)

my environment:
drupal 4.7 -> module:htmlarea -> xinha

My problem is, that in all browsers the buttons at the head of the "textarea" are shown, but greyed out.
The link over each button is "javascript:void(0)".

I need help!!!

have you tried clicking into the editor area? they disable until the area is active

Of course I did,

but nothing helps. I can click, select text...
...but the buttons stay "out of order".

As this obviously does not seem to be a known bug, I'd ask you to look at this topic http://xinha.gogo.co.nz/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=899, otherwise I see no means how we could at all find out what your problem may be. Especially, do you have any javascript errors?

Additionally I have to mention that this is not a drupal support forum

Okay. You are right. This is no drupal support forum, but: in drupal everything seems to work fine (because of the implementation seems to work) except the activation of the menu, and that should be xinha related problem.

I have no javascript errors (not in FF2 and not in IE7).

I have exactly the same problem. Once again using Drupal htmlarea-5.x.2.0-beta2 Xinha .91Beta.
Most likely based on the fact that Drupal is the only common element it is probably a drupal issue but any hints on tracking it down would be helpful. I have no java script errors that I know of. I can see the modules loading. When the page is drawn the buttons are active but get grayed shortly thereafter.

As I said above, if we have no possibility to see your problem live, nor any deeper information, how could one possibly come up with any solution? Guessing? Telepathy?

The issue 'might be' with the stylesheet pngs, I removed the style and everything works fine

I am having the exact same problem. My entire text ares is greyed out. None of the buttons work. And no, clicking inside the text Area does not "activate" it, either. I followed the instructions verbatim. I am a web developer so I'm pretty sure I understood the instructions. Is this a bug? I am using Firefox3 and Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP .

I download Xinha from the website yesterday. Today is Friday, August 8th, 2008.

I don't know which version it is, since my [i] button is not workin either, but it's the most recent version as of
Thursday, August 7th, 2008.

IN INTERNET EXPLORER, the buttons are not grey, but none work, it will NOT allow me to focus or click in the textArea box, and I get a javascript error: says :
line 1440
character 1

"null" is null or not an object.
